1. Overview
CarbDose is a carbohydrate estimation and optional insulin-dose calculator app. It may offer account sign-in, food catalog search, meal logging, custom meals, reminders, and connections to our backend API at carbdose.1clik.net. You are responsible for lawful use of the app and any data you submit.
2. Information we may process
- Account information (for example email, display name, password hash) when you register.
- Profile and calculator settings you enter (for example carb ratios, targets) — stored to provide the service.
- Meal history, custom meals, favorites, suggestions, and reminder preferences you create in the app.
- Basic device and app diagnostics where implemented (crash logs, app version, device model, OS version).
- Technical metadata required for the API to function (authenticated requests, tokens).
- Identifiers used by analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs if included in a specific release.
- Messages you send through support or in-app suggestion channels.
3. Permissions
The app may request permissions needed for its features (network access, notifications for meal reminders). Only permissions relevant to the shipped feature set are requested.
4. Medical / health notice
CarbDose provides estimates only. Carbohydrate values and insulin calculations can be inaccurate. The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or manage diabetes. Always follow advice from your healthcare professional.
5. Third-party services
A build may integrate third-party services (analytics, crash reporting, ads, cloud hosting). Those providers may process limited technical information under their own policies.
6. Children and safety
The app is not directed to children for harmful or exploitative purposes. We prohibit any use related to exploitation or abuse of minors. See our Child Safety Standards.
7. Data retention and security
We apply reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Data is retained as needed for operations, legal obligations, and abuse prevention. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after updates means acceptance of the revised policy. The canonical copy is published at carbdose.1clik.net/privacy-policy.html.
